Poppython 2018

To remember the ending of World War One there are many things planned for November this year, the centenary of the 1918 Armistice.

We are planning to decorate our church with at least 100 hand-made poppies, either knitted or crocheted.

This will be a worthwhile community project, reminding us of the sacrifices made by so many, both in the armed forces and in civilian life.

How you can help:
Patterns for 3 knitted and 3 crocheted poppies are available here: Poppies 2018.
Wool recommendations plus Needle and Hook sizes are included on the pattern sheet.

Donations of red and/or black wool would be appreciated – this can be full or part balls, preferably Double Knitting weight (DK) and any type e.g. acrylic, cotton, wool blend.

Please put your finished poppies in the box in The Link.
