Day 10 on 21 Days of Prayer

Video Transcript

Thanks for joining us today, its Day 10 of 21 Days of Prayer.
We are praying today for Global compassion and the way that God will use us in His world.

In the book of Acts we see the amazing beginning of the early church. God uses Barnabas to spread the good news of Jesus, but Paul and Barnabas can’t stick around. They’ve got to keep moving and keep telling other people about Jesus.

So all of these people who just recently started following Jesus have to make these communities called churches happen. And these churches are important because they’re the place where followers of Jesus pursue God, build community, and unleash compassion. And there are no seasoned Christians, no long-time churchgoers in them. They’re full of people who are new at following Jesus.

If we want to be a church that transforms our homes, community and world by pursuing God, building community, and unleashing compassion–we’re all going to have to pitch in to make those things happen.

Pray for global compassion

Read Acts 13:1 – 14:28

“While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, ‘Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them. So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off.” – Acts 13:2-3 NIV
