Day 17 on 21 Days of Prayer

Video Transcript

Welcome to Day 17 of our 21 Days of Prayer. Today we are praying that we will be fully surrendered to God.

Paul was confident in who he was. He was a follower of the Way. When Jesus said he was the Way, Paul knew he meant it. Falsely accused and imprisoned, Paul continued to tell others, even the judge in his case, who Jesus was and about the hope that Jesus offers to the world. He put the mission God had given him above his own safety.

What’s even more impressive is that Paul continued to be faithful his imprisonment. So often we struggle with remaining faithful when we feel like we encounter a challenge that lasts for a week or a month or a few months, but Paul shows us what it looks like to be faithful over the long haul.

What Paul shared with Felix here beings up a key question: Whose “Way” are you a follower of at the moment?

Think before you respond. Are you following your emotions? Your anxiety or stress? Are you following the will of another human being? Or, are you following Jesus, no looking back. Answer this to add fuel to your prayers for yourself and our church today. And do remember Pastor Moses and his team in Romania, Bev Richards in Moldova and our BMS Link Missionaries Matt and Suzanne Gregory. All putting their safety on the line to serve the Lord.

Pray to surrender fully to God
