Frontline Debt Advice is a charity providing free debt and benefit advice to anyone in need. It has numerous offices across the South of England one of which is called Shirley Frontline Debt Advice and is based at the Keeble centre (click here for site plan) at Shirley Baptist church.

How we can help

We broadly assist our clients in four main ways:

  1. Conduct a review of your financial situation by gathering in all the information we can and completing a budget. This helps us identify ways of saving money, increase income, as well as forming the basis from which a solution to any debt problems can be chosen.

  2. Assess benefit entitlement and assist where necessary with benefit claims. We can also assist with making appeals against benefit decisions and represent at benefit appeal tribunal hearings.

  3. If you are able to repay your debts within a reasonable period then we will negotiate an affordable repayment plan with your creditors, help you setup payments (we cannot receive money from you and pass it onto creditors), and assist with court procedures.

  4. If you are unable to repay your debts within a reasonable period then we can help you apply to have your debts written off through Bankruptcy or Debt Relief Order (DRO)
